WHY CHOOSE SINGLE DRIVING LESSONS

Some students just like to take it nice and steady learning at a steady pace giving them time to think about what they have learnt the week before and digest it. Or if you are on a budget this is the ideal way to learn to drive just paying weekly when you have your driving lesson knowing were you are all the time. Not every one can stand the pressure and strain of the intensive driving courses put you under thinking all the time I have to get this right I have my driving test at the end of the week.

WHY AN INTENSIVE COURSE

Intensive driving courses sometimes called one-week crash driving courses are the fastest way possible to learn to drive and take the DSA official driving test.
You must pass your theory test before a practical test can be taken so because of this rule we are unable to book an intensive driving course for you until you have passed as all our intensive courses have a Practical Test as the last lesson.

WHY DO INTENSIVE COURSES WORK SO WELL?

Intensive courses are Popular with learners of all ages because they make it possible to learn to drive with in a 5 day course where as what could take up to 14 months when taking a 1 hour lesson every week.

People tell us that they have been taking driving lessons for what seems like for ever and don't seem to be making any progress and would just like to get it over and done as quickly as possible.

The purpose of the courses is to provide a solution to this common problem.

One of the many advantages of the courses is that you will learn to drive over a much shorter period of time so there is less chance of forgetting what you have been taught.

Your overall progress will be quicker as you are behind the wheel for longer periods of time and therefore become more accustomed to the constantly changing road and traffic conditions. Your judgment of speed and distance and handling of the car will develop faster due to the more hands on experience.

You will have the full attention of your own driving instructor on a one to one basis for the duration of your driving course.

Warning

Beware of courses that offer shared tuition as you will only spend half the number of hours you have paid for behind the wheel the other half you will be watching someone else driving. There might be some small benefits to watching someone else drive but its no substitute for the real thing.

Which intensive course should I take?

Semi intensive courses

SEMI INTENSIVE COURSES

Our semi intensive driving courses are mainly for someone who has good driving skills and is almost up to test standard or has recently failed a test on a small number of minor faults. To be successful with one of these short courses your standard of driving has to be high with regard to mechanical skills and co ordination. Or for someone who has completed the driving syllabus but still needs verbal help occasionally. For any of these short intensive courses you are advised to book a two-hour trial lesson to asses the right course for you.

INTENSIVE COURSES

The intensive courses are for the total beginner with little or no driving experience at all or for the beginner who is just starting to control the car but still requires full supervision and instruction with the elements of the driving syllabus. For any of these intensive courses you are advised to book a two-hour trial lesson to asses the right course for you.
If you are unable to take a trial assessment lesson it is very important you select the right course that matches your ability and competence as a driver. Better to overestimate the number of hours you think you will need than to find out to late you have underestimated

The driving standards agency (DSA) have done a survey into the number of hours someone takes to reach the standard to pass their driving test first time. And the average was 45 hours professional training with some private practice; so better more hours rather than not enough.

PASS PLUS COURSE

Riding high on the feel good factor from passing your test? It gets even better, because you can skip some of the expense of getting on the road by taking a short driving course with no test at the end.

The pass plus scheme was introduced by the driving standards agency due to the high number of new drivers being involved in accidents.

The course aims to develop the attitudes and skills that you already have to a higher level that are essential for safe driving in today's environment.

Since the course was introduced there has been a large reduction in the number of accidents involving new drivers that have taken the pass plus course.

Some of the skills you will be learning you may not have yet come across depending on where you learned to drive.

The pass plus course should be taken within one year of passing your driving test, not only will it improve your overall driving, some insurance companies offer discounts on your insurance if the course is taken.

The pass plus course consists of six modules and it must take a minimum of six hours to complete the course.
